Florida football has struggled on the road since Billy Napier took over, amassing a 1-7 record in true road matchups since he assumed the reins.
On Saturday evening, the Gators scratched and clawed their way to a 41-39 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks to score the second win of the skipper’s tenure in Gainesville.
The triumph was huge for both the head coach and the program, as it takes a little bit of heat off of Napier while also putting the team back on course for a winning season this fall. It also showed that the Orange and Blue had the tenacity to fight until the end in a game that had them down by 10 points with nine minutes left in the game.
Following the massive victory, the Gators Wire crew assembled to give their takes on the game in a Good, Bad and Ugly format. Take a look below at what we had to say.
