Goldeneye 007 is allegedly coming to Xbox

For England, James?

Goldeneye 007, the classic Nintendo 64 first-person shooter, might be coming to  Xbox consoles.

Over on TrueAchievements, a site dedicated to monitoring the activity of Xbox achievements, allegedly dug up a list for Goldeneye 007. The achievements are specific to the game’s levels and have high-quality artwork attached to each item. “Loyal to the Mission,” for example, tasks players with completing the campaign mode on Secret Agent difficulty.

As of right now, only two players appear to be making their way through Goldeneye 007According to  Video Games Chronicle, the Gamertags reportedly belong to James Thomas and Christina McGrath — two employees at Rare, the studio that initially developed Goldeneye 007  for the Nintendo 64 back in the 90s.

Take a look at the art assets for Goldeneye 007‘s supposed Xbox Live achievements for yourself below.

As with any rumor, please take all this with a pinch of salt. The evidence is certainly strong here, but it’s not a sure thing until Microsoft comes out and confirms it.

Goldeneye 007  is often touted as  one of the greatest FPS titles of all time, and for a good reason. It’s pretty much the biggest reason why console shooters got big in the first place.
