The Golden State Warriors (3-5) take on the Orlando Magic (1-7) on Thursday at the Amway Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Magic odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
The Warriors are on a 3-game losing streak following losses to the Charlotte Hornets, the Detroit Pistons, and the Miami Heat. Golden State’s latest loss was a 116-109 defeat to Miami on Tuesday as the Warriors failed to cover as 1.5-point underdogs on the road.
The Magichave lost 2 straight after getting their 1st win of the season Oct. 28 against the Hornets. Orlando lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-108 on Tuesday, failing to cover as 3.5-point underdogs on the road.

Warriors at Magic picks and predictions
Prediction
Warriors 119, Magic 109
Moneyline
With the Warriors being heavy favorites on the road, AVOID taking the moneyline in this game. Taking Golden State straight up isn’t worth the risk given the minimal return you’ll receive if the Warriors come away with the victory.
Against the spread
WARRIORS -8.5 (-105) is an enticing wager as I expect Golden State to get back on track on Thursday. The Magic have the 4th-worst offensive rating and the 5th-worst effective field-goal percentage, so I don’t believe they have enough firepower to keep it close with the Warriors, especially if Anthony and Ross are sidelined.
While Golden State is 0-4 ATS in its last 4 road games, Orlando is 1-9 ATS in its last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 1-5-1 ATS in its last 7 games on 1 day of rest.
Over/Under
OVER 226 (-108) is where I’m leaning in this game with the Warriors allowing the 2nd-most points per game in the NBA thus far. Golden State is also scoring the 4th-most points per game, which has led to the Warriors being in plenty of high-scoring games to begin the season.
The Warriors have gone 6-1-1 to the Over in their 1st 8 games of the season.
