Golden State is playing its second straight game, having defeated the Pacers yet failing to cover as 3-point favorites last night. The Warriors are led by Stephen Curry, who has been chasing the league’s all-time 3-point record the past few games.
At 17-9-1, the Warriors are the second-best against the spread team in the NBA. They’re just 4-4 as road favorites. As for the Julius Randle-led Knicks, they’ve disappointed, sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks at just 11-16 ATS, the third-worst covering rate. They are 4-7 ATS as home underdogs. Unlike last season, it has not been profitable betting on New York.

PASS on the money line.
While I like Golden State here, -200 isn’t good enough value to play. In this matchup, I’d only consider anything under the -160, especially considering how inconsistent the play is in NBA regular-season games.
Against the spread
“LEAN” to the WARRIORS -4.5 (-120) as the better of the two sides. The Warriors have the league’s best defense, and that’s been on display recently, holding the Pacers to just 100.
They’ve held 6 of their last 10 opponents to 100 or fewer points. The Knicks rank in the bottom 10 in points per game and have been worse at home, just 5-9.
Factor in that they were such a covering force last season due to their defense, and now it’s in the bottom third of the league, and the Warriors should have their way in this one.
Over/Under
“LEAN” to the UNDER 211.5 (-110) as the Knicks play at a slow pace and aren’t that good offensively. They aren’t a great shooting team, so they make up for it on the glass.
The Warriors rank atop the league in defensive rebounding rate. Limiting second-chance points should help Golden State squash where New York excels.
The Knicks have missed 100 points in 3 of their last 5 and 5 of their last 9. Against the league’s best defense, they should come up short again, and subsequently, the Under hit.
