The Warriors (+375) looked atrocious in a 125-99 season-opening loss at the Brooklyn Nets Tuesday. The Bucks (-500) were nipped 122-121 at the Boston Celtics in their opener Wednesday, and won’t be too cheery on Christmas as they play their initial home game of 2020-21. Still, while Milwaukee is expected to win, and win handily, you can’t risk three and a half times your potential return. AVOID.
Against the spread (ATS)
Playing the BUCKS -10.5 (+100) is the way to go. The Warriors are a mish-mash unit of stars and never-will-be’s. If their first outing is any indication, they won’t be much better than the cellar-dwelling group we saw pre-pandemic. Milwaukee was edged by a contender in a hotly contested battle. The Bucks bounce back and win this one by double digits.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 232.5 (-110) is worth a playing for a few dollars as you look to put some extra jingle in your stocking. The Under cashed for Golden State in its opener, but the Over easily hit for Milwaukee. The Warriors shouldn’t be as poor as they were Tuesday, and an uptick in offense is expected.
