Season series: Clippers lead 1-0

The Warriors won their third straight with a 123-118 home victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Friday, but Golden State failed to cover as a 7-point favorites. G Stephen Curry coasted to 13 points, 8 boards, 5 dimes and 4 steals, including 3-for-7 shooting from downtown. The score makes it seem much closer than it actually was as the Warriors were outscored 40-30 in the fourth quarter.

Warriors at Clippers picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 119, Clippers 111

Moneyline

If you’re wondering why a bad Clippers team isn’t longer underdogs on the back end of a back-to-back, it’s because Curry is a game-time decision. He’s dealing with left knee bursitis, and they’ll likely decide on his status after warmups.

I do think he’ll sit a game this week, but I think it’ll more likely be at home against Atlanta Wednesday. The Dubs then hit the road for a back-to-back Friday (New Orleans) and Saturday (San Antonio) with another game Monday (home vs. Brooklyn).

So I look for Curry to play here and chill Wednesday. Take STEPHEN CURRY OVER 34.5 POINTS+REBOUNDS+ASSISTS (-115).

Against the spread

The Warriors are 10-2 overall, but they’re impressively 9-3 ATS. The Clippers are just 1-3-1 in their last 5 ATS.

BET WARRIORS -5.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Warriors are 9-3 O/U thus far, and the Clippers are just 5-9 O/U. The Clippers are on the tail end of a back-to-back, so they may not be able to close out defensively as quickly. The Over is 4-2 in the last 6 meetings.

TAKE OVER 225.5 (-110).
