Goal-line stands ignites Cowboys’ 98-yard game-winning drive

The Dallas Cowboys drove 98 yards to wreck an upset bid by the Texans

There are reasons teams have 1-11-1 records.

For the Houston Texans, Sunday against the Dallas Texans is a perfect example.

The Texans had the ball deep in Dallas territory after Tremon Smith picked off Dak Prescott for the second time in the Texas tussle.

Lovie Smith went with Rex Burkhead and backup QB Jeff Driskel in attempts to get to the end zone.

Predictably, they came up short and the Cowboys drove 98 yards for the game-winning touchdown in a 27-23 victory.

The winning touchdown was scored by Ezekiel Elliott on a 2-yard run with 41 seconds left.

Prescott directed the 11-play, 98-yard drive over 2:39.

And the Texans are now 1-11-1 after giving their statemates fits for more than 59 minutes.
