During Jimbo Fisher’s 20-minute stint at the podium, he commented on the team’s depth in the trenches, takeaways from Saturday’s scrimmage, as well as Donovan Green’s recent season-ending injury.

As the 2023 college football season continues to draw near, Aggie fans continue to get a glimpse into how the Maroon and White are preparing, both mentally and physically, for a pivotal fall campaign.

On Monday afternoon, Texas A&M football Head Coach Jimbo Fisher, as well as players Trey Zuhn III and Demani Richardson, took to the podium to speak with the media before the team’s 11th fall camp practice. There was no shortage of topics that Fisher covered in his roughly 20-minute stint at the podium, including his assessment of the team’s depth as well as takeaways from Saturday’s scrimmage.

On the latter, he also provided his perspective on the unfortunate news that tight end Donovan Green would miss the entire 2023 season after tearing his ACL during said scrimmage. While it’s an undeniable blow to the team’s depth and an even more significant hit for a hardworking young man like Green, Fisher echoed the utmost confidence that the sophomore would return stronger than ever next year.

Zuhn spoke at length about his injury recovery process and his perspective as an Aggie legacy, while Richardson shed light on how the secondary fared during Saturday’s scrimmage.
