As the NFL trade deadline approached on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers sprung into action sending wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears for a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
The move gives the talented but underused Claypool a fresh start on a Bears team with a great young quarterback and a need at wide receiver. At the same time, it gives the Steelers a second-round pick that should land somewhere in the Top 50 picks, which will let Pittsburgh continue the rebuild on this roster.
Overall, this trade feels like a win/win for all parties involved but let’s hear it from you. Cast your vote below and let us know what grade you give this trade. For us, this one is an easy A. As much as we love Claypool’s game, he was never going to be a focus of this offense and getting that kind of return is just too good pass up.
