The Tennessee Titans’ two biggest needs heading into the 2024 offseason are obviously offensive tackle and wide receiver. However, they also have a massive need at the cornerback position and edge rusher.
When it comes to the Jacksonville Jaguars, they may not have the top tackle or wide receiver worth plucking for this hypothetical, but they do have two of the more underrated players at corner and outside linebacker.
I strongly considered going with cornerback Darious Williams, but in the end, I decided to choose a dominant pass-rusher instead.
Edge rusher, Josh Allen is in the midst of a career year or the Jags. According to Pro Football Focus, Allen has an overall grade of 88.9 after he’s recorded nine sacks in nine games.
He’s also recorded at least two sacks in three separate games this season, which means he’s not only capable of being disruptive, but he’s able to single-handedly take over a game at any moment.
Over the last three seasons, Allen has produced an average overall grade of 83.4, tallying a total of 23 sacks in the process. The Kentucky product has also amassed an impressive 90 pressures (27 in 2023) and 53 quarterback hits (17 in 2023) over that span, per Pro Football Reference.
Adding that type of talent and consistency to this defensive front would undoubtedly make everyone’s job easier. For that reason, Allen narrowly edges out Williams.
