Gimme him: One player Titans would steal from Bills

If the Titans could steal one player from the Bills, who would it be?

The Buffalo Bills drafted cornerback Tre’Davious White with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft; that’s it, that’s the headline.

Twenty-seven — the number White wears as a reminder of where he was drafted, and the Titans had two shots at him. In a star-studded draft, one could make the case that White is as big of a steal as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was at No. 10 overall.

And the Titans got it wrong.

White is one of the elite lockdown corners in the NFL. He, along with Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore, belong at the top of most lists.

The Titans could use him now more than ever. Adoree’ Jackson is a great corner and has blossomed over the last year, but the Titans would be a better team with White shadowing receivers; it’s that cut-and-dry.

Jackson was supposed to provide a spark in the return-game and sprinkle into the offense. His athleticism was a terrific selling point in selecting him over other players, including White.

But that ship has long since sailed. As much as I like Jackson, gimme White to add to an elite (when healthy) secondary.
