Two of Arkansas Softball’s brightest stars are gracing preseason lists all over.
Gibson was second on the team with a batting average of .355 last season, with 15 home runs and 51 RBI. With the graduation of Braxton Burnside, Gibson looks to lead the charge in the hitting category, with Linnie Malkin and Hannah McEwin assisting.
Arkansas’ ace returns for her senior season. Pitcher Mary Haff held an ERA of 1.55 in 2021 with 198 strikeouts in 198.1 innings pitched, en route to a 26-7 record.
Per the SEC, the Preseason All-SEC Softball Team is voted on by the league’s head coaches and consists of a minimum of 21 players. No ties are broken.
Arkansas softball begins the season on Thursday by taking on Rutgers in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, with first pitch scheduled for 10 a.m.
