Giants, ex-Titans CB Logan Ryan agree to 1-year deal

Logan Ryan’s long stint in free agency is finally over.

Former Tennessee Titans cornerback Logan Ryan has found a new home with the New York Giants.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Ryan, who is a New Jersey native and Rutgers product, has agreed to a one-year deal worth $7.5 million with Big Blue.

Ryan took to Twitter to confirm the deal.

The 29-year-old spent a long time in free agency, likely because teams wouldn’t bite on his asking price of at least $10 million annually.

While he didn’t end up getting it, he came relatively close with less than two weeks remaining before the start of the season.

Ryan spent the last three seasons with the Titans, playing predominantly at slot corner.

However, he did wear many hats in Nashville and has recently been campaigning as more of a corner-safety hybrid.

Ryan’s versatility will be a huge help to the Giants, a team that has seen its secondary ravaged by anything from an injury, to an opt out, to an off-the-field issue.

Another positive of having Ryan on the team is his leadership and presence in the locker room, which is particularly a plus for a young team like New York.
