The season for the Milwaukee Bucks and likely to be two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo met an unceremonious end earlier this week, losing to the Miami Heat in five games. But while the Bucks season has ended, #GiannisWatch is just getting started. And in the NBA’s free agency drama, people are reading the tea leaves on social media with just about everything.
In the first chapter of what will likely be a lengthy saga of whether Antetokounmpo stays in Milwaukee, the 2019 MVP has allegedly unfollowed all of his Bucks teammates, save for his brother Thanasis, as well as the official Instagram account of the Bucks. Giannis also still follows his brother, Kostas, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Of course, this has everybody’s wheels turning about what Giannis might do next. Toronto and Miami have both been connected in rumors about Giannis, while ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith suggested Portland could be a destination for him to team up with Damian Lillard. Of course, the Lakers, Warriors, and other marquee franchises will also be lining up for a chance to add the MVP to their team.
