National Signing Day has come and gone, and Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class is officially set. There were 25 total members (26, if you count North Carolina grad transfer tight end Carl Tucker) with talent across the board.
In order for fans to get to know the Crimson Tide’s newest players, we have laid out a “get to know them” article for each member.
Next up is three-star running back Kyle Edwards out of Destrehan High School in Louisiana.

Where does he fit in? Kyle Edwards was one of three running backs to sign with Alabama in the 2020 recruiting class, which also included Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams.
And while Edwards doesn’t get the same recognition or praise as the other two, he’s an impressive prospect with the talent to eventually work his way into the carry rotation at some point in his career.
The problem is that the Crimson Tide is currently loaded at the running back position. With the surprise return of Najee Harris, Trey Sanders coming back from an injury and Brian Robinson Jr. already on the roster, getting any sort of consistent carries will be difficult for Edwards.
He should, however, contribute on special teams before competing for carrying in 2021.
