National Signing Day has come and gone, and Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class is officially set. There were 25 total members (26, if you count North Carolina grad transfer tight end Carl Tucker) with talent across the board.
In order for fans to get to know the Crimson Tide’s newest players, we have laid out a “get to know them” article for each member.
The next man up is four-star running back Jase McClellan out of Aledo High School in Texas.

Where does he fit in? McClellan was an excellent late addition during the first National Signing Day for Alabama. A once longtime Oklahoma commit, the talented running back has the mental and physical makeup to eventually emerge as a future Day 1 or 2 pick for the NFL.
Unfortunately, his chance at significant carries more than likely will have to wait for 2021, as Najee Harris chose to return for his senior season in Tuscaloosa. With Brian Robinson Jr. and Trey Sanders also still in the running back room, McClellan’s best bet right now would be carving out a role on special teams.
Still, McClellan is an excellent piece to have for the future, especially with Harris and Robinson Jr. both being upcoming seniors.
McClellan wasn’t the only talented running back added in the 2020 class either. Four-star prospect Roydell Williams out of Hueytown (Ala.) and underrated three-star Kyle Edwards out of Destrahan (La.) will both be in the mix as well.
With this much talent at one position, it’s likely that we see Alabama return to a three, maybe even four-running back rotation.
