Where does he fit in? Kennedy has a chance to be one of the impact freshmen in Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class. Not only is he an impressive athlete, he fills an very important need for the Crimson Tide — inside linebacker.
Dylan Moses choosing to return for his senior season did put a damper on Kennedy’s outlook in Year 1, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t make contributions. In fact, he could even still see signing reps if developments aren’t made with some of the other young inside linebackers on the roster.
At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Kennedy will need to add anywhere for 15 to 20 pounds to be able to better hold up against SEC offenses, but his aggressive style and athleticism should help him find some sort of role early — whether that’s in certain packages, special teams, a starting role or some combination of those things.
