Gerald Everett’s Instagram post suggests he’s not returning to Rams

Gerald Everett seems to be on his way out of Los Angeles as a free agent.

With the talent Los Angeles has at tight end, Gerald Everett seems unlikely to return to the Rams as a free agent this offseason. His latest post on Instagram supports that notion as he appeared to say goodbye to the team that drafted him four years ago.

In Everett’s message on social media, he wrote the following, bidding farewell to Los Angeles: “Thank you to the Rams, fans, and friends that have shown constant support & love since our class arrived. For ever will LA be another home! Thank you.”

Everett was the first draft pick of the Sean McVay era in Los Angeles, being selected in the second round at No. 44 overall in 2017. He caught 127 passes for 1,389 yards and eight touchdowns, including the game-winner against the Chiefs in the Rams’ historic 54-51 win during the 2018 regular season.

He’s a versatile and athletic tight end, and will surely provide a spark to whichever offense he joins next.
