Georgia’s Chaz Chambliss made an incredible interception off a Ball State player’s foot

How in the world did this happen?!?!

If you’re looking for the wildest turnover of the day in college football, Georgia – Ball State has you covered.

On this truly ridiculous play, Ball State quarterback Layne Hatcher threw the football at the absolute wrong angle as it ricocheted off the back of one of tight end Maximus Webster’s feet and into the hands of Bulldogs outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss.

Yeah, we genuinely have no idea how this pinball interception happened, either. We get being in the right place at the right time, but this is just an otherworldly bounce of luck for Chambliss and Georgia.

For Ball State, it’s the highlight you’d rather not see again.

This is just an absurd sequence of events, and it makes you wonder how something like this can even happen in a football game.

Georgia is a really good team, but this was just a genius stroke of luck combined with a bewilderingly unfortunate flub for Ball State.
