Georgia transfer LB among the SEC’s leading tacklers

Georgia football transfer linebacker is fourth in the SEC in total tackles

Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Xavian Sorey has made an instant impact with the Arkansas Razorbacks this season. Sorey, who had 24 total tackles and one sack across three seasons at Georgia, has easily topped those numbers with the Razorbacks.

Sorey has 70 total tackles, an interception and a sack this season with Arkansas. Sorey leads Arkansas in tackles and is a big piece of the Razorbacks’ defense.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker is fourth in the SEC in tackles. Sorey recorded 13 total tackles in the Razorbacks’ recent 63-31 loss to the Ole Miss Rebels. Sorey is an example of a former Georgia player that left patrially due to playing time and is posting big numbers in an expanded role with his new team.

Arkansas is 5-4 this season including 3-3 in SEC action. Former Georgia offensive line coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks are having a solid season. Arkansas’ next game is at home on Nov. 16 against the Texas Longhorns.
