Georgia transfer cornerback plans to visit Texas A&M next week

Texas A&M is set to potentially host Georgia transfer cornerback Julian Humphrey next week

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko will look to add more veteran talent to the spring football roster as soon as the transfer portal opens next week. According to a Texas A&M recruiting insider, Jaxson Callaway, Georgia transfer cornerback Julian Humphrey reportedly plans to visit the Aggies in the coming days.

While 12 players have entered the transfer portal, incoming senior cornerback Will Lee III announced his return for the 2025 season. Nearly every cornerback and safety on the roster should return, except graduate safety Trey Jones.

However, this unit needs another reliable cornerback with SEC experience. After nearly transferring to Texas A&M last offseason, Humphrey returned to Georgia, recording 11 tackles and four pass deflections, ending the year with a 69 coverage grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

A native of Webster, Texas, Humphrey’s hometown is only two hours away from College Station, as the incoming junior would be an immediate contributor within an experienced cornerback rotation looking to take the next step in 2025.
