Georgia trails Arkansas after a penalty-filled first quarter

Georgia football trails the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 7-0 after a penalty-filled first quarter.

The first quarter of game one is officially in the books.

Georgia trails the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 7-0 after a penalty filled first quarter.  The Dawgs have more penalty yards against (73) than they do total offensive yards (68).

Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks is 4/13 with 91 yards, one touchdown and one interception.  His touchdown came on a 49-yard bomb to sophomore wide receiver Treylon Burks.

Georgia quarterback D’Wan Mathis is 6/12 with 37 yards and an interception, adding on another 20 yards as Georgia’s leading rusher so far.

Richard LeCounte gave up that touchdown to Burks got Franks back with a big interception.

Georgia will need to be much more disciplined if they want to come away with a win.  We know very well that Kirby Smart’s blood is boiling after an eight penalty first quarter.
