Georgia Tech pulls off a stunner in ACC play

Georgia Tech wrecked Miami’s dreams of an undefeated season.

The Yellow Jackets downed the Hurricanes on Saturday in ACC play, 28-23.

After Georgia Tech punted to Miami late, the Yellow Jackets created a strip sack of Heisman Trophy candidate Cam Ward to ice the victory.

Haynes King rush for 93 yards and a score and Jamal Haynes had 83 rushing yards and a touchdown in the upset.

King’s rushing touchdown gave Tech a 28-16 lead in the fourth quarter.

The Hurricanes got a score on a TD pass from Ward but were unable to do anything else.

Ward threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Miami was fourth in the College Football Playoff rankings.
