Georgia starting DB misses Clemson game with injury

UGA football starting defensive back absent for 2024 college season opener vs. Clemson

Georgia Bulldogs starting defensive back Joenel Aguero is missing the Clemson Tigers game after suffering an injury in practice this week. Georgia is starting Malaki Starks at STAR with Aguero out.

The Bulldogs started cornerbacks Daylen Everette and Julian Humphrey on the outside. Georgia is playing Dan Jackson and KJ Bolden at safety.

Georgia defensive lineman Warren Brinson also exited the Clemson game. Brinson, who had been dealing with an Achilles injury entering the Clemson game, walked off the field gingerly.

The Bulldogs are missing starting running back Trevor Etienne, who dressed out. Etienne has been suspended after being arrest for driving under the influence this offseason.
