Georgia star junior LB makes NFL draft decision

Georgia Bulldogs football standout linebacker Jalon Walker, winner of the Butkus Award, has made a 2025 NFL draft decision

Georgia Bulldogs star linebacker Jalon Walker is declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. Walker had an outstanding junior season and won the Butkus Award  for his incredible season.

Walker was Georgia’s most effective pass rusher in the 2024 college football season. He boosted his NFL draft stock more than any other Georgia player this year. Walker recorded 61 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two pass deflections and recovered two fumbles during his breakout 2024 season.

Walker played a combination of off-ball linebacker and edge rusher for Georgia. He’s at his best when pass rushing the opposing quarterback.

Walker memorably took over the Texas game in October, when he recorded three sacks in a dominant performance.

“I will always bleed red and black and will be a Dawg forever! I believe that the time has come for me to take the next step in my football career as I declare for the 2025 NFL draft. Go Dawgs!” Walker said in an announcement via social media.

Walker is ranked as the No. 12 NFL draft prospect according to Pro Football Focus. Walker is the third-ranked edge rusher in the draft.
