Georgia Bulldogs offensive tackle Amarius Mims entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 10. Just over a week later, he has now withdrawn his name from the portal.

Mims, a former five-star recruit in the class of 2021, was one of the top available transfers in the country, but it appears he will return to Athens.
The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles were two of the top programs in the hunt for Mims.
Twitter reacted to the news on Monday that the former No. 8 overall recruit will be staying in Athens:
Between Travis Hunter and now Amarius Mims it hasn't been the most-fun time to be an FSU Football fan.

If we’re being honest, I wouldn’t want to go to Tallahassee either. Welcome back home @amarius_mims

Amarius Mims not going to FSU and staying at Georgia is annoying because if he’d went to FSU his talents would’ve been utterly wasted by the pathetic team around him (in a vein similar to Jermaine Johnson). Now his talents are actually going to have a negative effect on Florida.

Amarius Mims is staying at Georgia…
Big win for UGA to keep him. I think it will really help him moving forward to be sure he’s where he wants to be. The talent he has is immense. If he’s focused on working to improve and earn playing time he will take a leap quickly

First Travis Hunter stood em up on prom night, then Amarius Mims hit em wit the one night stand 🤣🤣🤣

Hate on Amarius Mims if you want, but the man made a business decision and tested the waters…
Then realized that there’s no place like home.
Welcome back, Big Dawg! @amarius_mims #GoDawgs

Amarius Mims deciding to come back to UGA is one of the many reasons why people need to watch what they say about kids when they enter the transfer portal.

Amarius Mims just bamboozle @FSUFootball so bad. I actually feel bad man

Hell of a recruiting cycle for FSU
Their all time great player stole the best player in the country from them, then Amarius Mims took all the pennies they raised and returned to UGA.
Not to mention Napier and Cristobal signed a better class than them in about 2 weeks. pic.twitter.com/f0JpSem1Mf

Georgia offensive lineman Amarius Mims is now officially listed as "Withdrawn" in the NCAA transfer portal. Former ESPN 300 recruit from the class of 2021 had been highly coveted in the portal.

I think the biggest impact that Amarius Mims has on Georgia’s roster with him coming back is not this year but the next
Warren McClendon is gonna be bouncing to the NFL and Broderick Jones will more than likely follow him I would think. Having Mims helps soften the blow there.

Amarius Mims’ return is the only thing pushing me through this last stretch of school
