Georgia Bulldogs sophomore pass rusher Damon Wilson plans to enter the transfer portal. Wilson is coming off a career-best sophomore season.
He saw significant playing time in 2024 and recorded 22 tackles and three sacks. The former five-star recruit recovered two fumbles and forced two fumbles.
Wilson’s potential departure would represent a big blow to Georgia’s pass rush in 2025. The Bulldogs are already losing projected first-round NFL draft pick outside linebackers Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams to the draft.
Wilson, like any transfer, could still return to UGA. The Bulldogs would have penciled in Wilson as a starter next season. Wilson will be a hot commodity in the NCAA transfer portal. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound linebacker should be ranked among the top pass rushers in the transfer portal.
Wilson, wide receiver Anthony Evans, and quarterback Jaden Rashada have all entered the transfer portal after Georgia’s Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame. Twelve Georgia Bulldogs have entered the transfer portal since it opened in early December.
