Georgia offers 4-star Langston Hughes RB

UGA football a scholarship to four-star running back recruit Carsyn Baker, who had an impressive Georgia state championship performance

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star running back recruit Carsyn Baker.

Baker, who is a member of the class of 2026, plays high school football for Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. Langston Hughes just advanced all the way to the state championship game before falling to Milton High School 56-35.

Baker showed off his elite speed on a 70-yard touchdown run in the state championship. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back is ranked as the No. 328 player in the class of 2026 and the No. 26 running back, per 247Sports. Baker is the No. 40 recruit in Georgia in the junior class.

The Langston Hughes standout also runs track. Baker has scholarship offers from Florida, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Kansas, USC and more.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia just signed one of the top ranked recruiting classes in the country. Now, things are starting to heat up in the 2026 cycle. UGA currently has four commitments in the class of 2026, but none at running back.
