Georgia lands 2025 defensive lineman from Germany

The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart add elite 2025 DL from Germany

The Georgia Bulldogs have added yet another piece to their 2025 recruiting class. Three-star defensive end Jayden-Jamal Hanne announced his commitment to UGA on Monday, choosing the Dawgs over Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, and others.

Hanne is listed at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds. He was born in Germany and only started playing football two years ago at Santa Margarita Catholic High in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. In Germany, he played both basketball and soccer, possessing an athleticism and versatility that makes him an ideal fit for the Bulldogs defensive front.

Hanne recorded 22 tackles, 4 tackles-for-loss, and 1.5 sacks a season ago. He is seen as a high-upside project who should continue to develop and could be a future first-round pick out of Athens.

With the addition of Hanne, Georgia now has three defensive line commits in the class of 2025, along with four-star Christian Garrett and three-star Stephon Shivers. Additionally, they have been projected to land five-stars Justus Terry and Elijah Griffin in recent days.
