Georgia football has second-most preseason All-Americans

Georgia football has four preseason All-Americans, which is second-most (tied) in the nation. Quarterback Carson Beck made the first-team

The Georgia Bulldogs have the second-most (tied) preseason All-Americans in the country behind the Ohio State Buckeyes, who have seven preseason All-American.

USA TODAY Sports puts three Georgia players on the first-team including quarterback Carson Beck. Additionally, Georgia has one player on the second-team in pass rusher Mykel Williams. Defensive back Malaki Starks and offensive guard Tate Ratledge are Georgia’s other two first-team selections.

Here’s what USA TODAY said about Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who got the first-team nod over Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

While the Bulldogs fell short of the national championship in Beck’s debut, he outperformed former starter Stetson Bennett in most major statistical categories to establish himself as the favorite for the Heisman Trophy and the top spot in next year’s NFL draft.

Carson Beck is a highly regarded 2025 NFL draft prospect. His ability to get rid of the ball quickly and accurately is special. He returns a strong group of receivers and will lead one of the top offenses in the country.

Former Georgia center Clay Webb, who transferred to Jacksonville State, made the second-team as an offensive guard.

Georgia is ranked as the No. 1 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs open the 2024 college football season on Aug. 31 at noon ET against the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta.
