Georgia football beats Auburn 31-13

The Georgia Bulldogs bounced back from a loss to Alabama to defeat the Auburn Tigers as Georgia moves to 4-1

The Georgia Bulldogs have defeated the Auburn Tigers 31-13. Georgia topped Auburn behind a strong showing from running back Trevor Etienne, who recorded 88 rushing yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck had an efficient performance in Georgia’s home win over Auburn. Beck completed 23 of 29 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns in Georgia’s first SEC home game of the season.

Georgia and Auburn both played a clean game with no turnovers. Auburn entered the game with the most turnovers of any team in the country, but Georgia was unable to force any Auburn turnovers.

Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and safety Malaki Starks both had strong games for the Georgia defense, which limited Auburn’s offense, but allowed the Tigers to get some things going on the ground.

Georgia was much more efficient than Auburn in the red zone. The Dawgs forced an early field goal on one of Auburn’s early drives and the Tigers were never able to really threaten Georgia.

Georgia moves to 4-1, while Auburn drops to 2-4. Georgia did not show any rust after losing to Alabama last week.

Next up for Georgia is an Oct. 12 home game against Mississippi State.
