Georgia baseball ends the Vols’ nine-game win-streak.

Georgia (26-21, 9-14 SEC) defeated No. 16 Tennessee (32-15, 12-11 SEC), 3-1, Saturday at Foley Field in Athens, Georgia.

Saturday’s loss ends Tennessee’s’ nine-game winning streak and ties the three-game series, 1-1.

Tennessee’s last loss took place April 18 versus Tennessee Tech.

The Vols won game No. 1 at Georgia, 12-3, on Friday.

First pitch for Sunday’s series finale between Tennessee and Georgia is slated for 1 p.m. EDT. Game No. 3 can be watched on SEC Network+.

Hunter Ensley scored the Vols’ only run in game No. 2 during the sixth inning after Griffin Merritt walked with the bases loaded.

Tennessee stranded three runners in the sixth inning. The Vols recorded eight hits in the contest and stranded 10 runners.

Maui Ahuna and Christian Moore each had two hits for Tennessee.

Chase Dollander (5-5) started for Tennessee and pitched six innings. He allowed eight hits, three runs and two walks, while recording six strikeouts.
