Georgia drops in SEC recruiting rankings after recent decommitment

UGA football dropped in the SEC recruiting rankings losing a commitment from a four-star defensive line recruit

The Georgia Bulldogs have lost a commitment from four-star defensive line recruit Christian Garrett. Garrett’s decommitment stings for the Bulldogs because he was Georgia’s top-ranked defensive line commitment.

Georgia has 22 commitments in the class of 2025. The Bulldogs have the third-ranked recruiting class in the SEC. A recent surge from Brian Kelly and LSU has helped the Tigers leapfrog Georgia in the recruiting rankings.

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to have the No. 1 recruiting class in the SEC in Year 1 of the Kalen DeBoer era. There’s still a long way to go in the class of 2025, but DeBoer has been a menace on the recruiting trail to begin his career at Alabama.

The SEC has six of the top seven recruiting classes in the country. The SEC is the best recruiting conference in college football.
