Georgia DB coach Jahmile Addae leaves for Miami job

Addae is headed to Miami…

Georgia defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae has reportedly accepted the same position at the University of Miami under new head coach Mario Cristobal.

247Sports ranked Addae as the second-best recruiter of the 2022 cycle after pulling in two five-star defensive backs among other top-rated recruits in Georgia’s No. 3 ranked class.

Addae spent one season with the 2021 National Champions after serving in the same role at West Virginia.

Georgia safety and former Mountaineer defensive back, Tykee Smith, gave his thoughts on Addae’s decision:

Cristobal lost wide receivers coach Brian McClendon to Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart just a week ago and now, the two programs once again are linked as Addae, a Valrico, Fla., native goes to the Hurricanes.

If there is one position coach the Bulldogs could lose without a hiccup, it’s at defensive backs. Smart and co-defensive coordinator Will Muschamp are widely known as two of the best secondary developers in all of college football.

Even so, Smart will be looking to fill his third coaching void since winning the title.

Addae sent his thinks to DawgNation in a tweet on Tuesday:
