Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver George Pickens has high expectations entering his third season in the NFL. The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has 115 receptions, 1,941 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his NFL career.
Pickens is turning heads again with spectacular catches in training camp. Pickens, who recently hauled in a one-handed grab, will have a new quarterback in 2024. Quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson are competing for the Steelers’ starting job this season.
“He’s elite, 50/50 balls aren’t really 50/50 balls, they’re more like 90/10 with him,” said Justin Fields on George Pickens. “He’s elite in space. He’s elite with the ball in his hands. I’ve known George for a long time now, so I’m seeing him kind of grow over the years from high school to college to where he is now and, I mean, he’s getting better and better and better, so I’m excited for this upcoming year.”
