Geno Smith directs first game-winning, fourth-quarter since 2014 as Seahawks jar Rams

Geno Smith and the Seahawks rally past the Rams

It had been a long time since Geno Smith had directed a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter … until Sunday.

The previous effort came in 2014. On Sunday, Smith led the Seahawks to a 27-23 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Smith found DK Metcalf in the end zone with 36 seconds left from 8 yards to complete the comeback.

Smith had quite a game against the undermanned Rams, throwing for 367 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Metcalf and Tyler Lockett each went over the 100-yard mark for receiving.

Cody Barton sealed the win with a pick

Smith’s previous game-winning drive in the fourth quarter came on December 14, 2014, when he led the Jets to a 16-11 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The Jets trailed 11-10 in the fourth quarter before Chris Ivory scored on a 3-yard run in a 16-11 victory.
