Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins appears headed in the right direction when it comes to the Hall of Fame.
A rare interior disruptor alongside the likes of only Aaron Donald and few others, Atkins earned an All-Decade nod earlier this offseason — and that’s something that comes up in Hall of Fame discussions.
Atkins name also just showed up on PFF’s All-Decade Top 101 at No. 31:
No interior defender notched more total pressures over the past decade than Geno Atkins, who pressured the quarterback 577 times across 10 seasons. In fact, he finished the decade with 68 more pressures than any other interior pass-rusher, which, as a figure in itself, would have ranked second only to Aaron Donald in 2019. Atkins also owns one of the best single seasons we have ever seen from a defensive tackle, back when he posted a grade of 93.9 in 2012. Atkins graded above 90.0 three times in the decade and has been a consistently dominant force as a pass-rusher.

Atkins’ run includes eight Pro Bowls, two first-team All-Pros, 75.5 sacks, 171 quarterback hits and 100-plus tackles for loss.
The wildest part? Atkins feels far from done. He’s 32 years old with three seasons left on his deal and playing for a coaching staff that wants to reduce his role so he’s even more effective.
