The PGA Tour holds its second-straight event in California for the 2020 Genesis Invitational. It’s also the final leg of the West Coast Swing.
Returning to Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Tiger Woods hosts the event as he looks for his record-breaking 83rd PGA Tour win. Woods, who is paired with Justin Thomas and Steve Stricker for the event’s first two rounds, has played Riviera over the past three decades but has never won.
Woods, Thomas and Stricker are one of four featured groups on Thursday and Friday. The others for the first two rounds at Riviera include defending champion J.B. Holmes, Jon Rahm and Justin Rose; the group of Patrick Cantlay, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy; and Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson.
Last week’s Pebble Beach winner Nick Taylor is not in a featured group but he is playing with Patrick Reed and Scott Piercy.
