Florida Gators star forward and Southeastern Conference Preseason Player of the Year Keyontae Johnson collapsed on Saturday morning in a game against the Florida State Seminoles. After completing an alley-oop dunk less than four minutes into the first half, a timeout was called, he turned around and fell to the floor unresponsive.
According to reports on Twitter, he was removed on a stretcher and taken to a Tallahassee hospital. It is not apparent exactly what happened yet as there was no apparent trauma prior to the event.
We will follow up with reports as they become available.
Keyontae Johnson is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, and we'll share an update when we can. https://t.co/bUkidjT4qd
