Sliding down the slope towards the weekend we arrive on Thursday, and despite the Florida Gators football sitting out another Saturday due to a coronavirus outbreak, UF’s fall sports are in full swing.

The women’s golf team finished tied for sixth place out of 14 schools at The Ally at Old Waverly as the tournament came to a close yesterday. Sophomore Annabell Fuller was the only Lady Gator to finish the three-day competition with an under-par scorecard.

The volleyball team also saw action Wednesday night, taking its match from the Auburn Tigers on the road in straight sets in the season opener. With the victory, Florida has now won 28 season openers and four-straight overall. The two teams meet again tonight — same time, same place.

Today, both the men’s and women’s golf team travel to their respective matchups, with the men heading to Columbia, S.C., for the Gamecock Fall SEC Shootout while the women are on the move to Athens, Ga., to face the Georgia Bulldogs, along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Kentucky Wildcats. Both events last from Friday to Sunday.
