Hey there Gator fans and welcome to our Thursday edition of Gators news! The big story today is the men’s basketball team’s victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores last night in the O’Connell Center, stretching their winning streak to a 2021-high three games.

Florida led for all but 55 seconds of this game, with  Tre Mann (15 points), Colin Castleton (13) Tyree Appleby and Noah Locke (12) and Scottie Lewis (10) all scoring in double figures in the win despite Scotty Pippen Jr.’s game- and career-high 32 points. The Gators next play on Saturday in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Tonight, the women’s basketball team hosts the Missouri Tigers in the O’Connell Center, with tip off scheduled for 6 p.m. EST. The Lady Gators also have a little winning streak going that they look to extend to three games after dropping their first five in conference play. The contest will be carried on SEC Network+ and can also be heard on WRUF ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM.
