The Gator Nation continues to enjoy the big win for the football team last weekend at South Carolina in what was more or less a make-or-break game for the Orange and Blue. Florida came away with a 41-39 comeback win to improve to 5-2 on the year, keeping their bowl aspirations alive in the process.
Of course, the Tennessee and Kentucky games were also billed as crucial matchups, but that is life when you have one of the most difficult schedules in the sport. The Gators will take whatever they can get to finish above the .500 mark.
After the dust settled following Week 7 of the fall schedule, CBS Sports published its rankings of all 133 Power Five schools, including Billy Napier’s squad. Florida now sits just outside of the top 25 at No. 28, up six spots from last week’s rankings.
The Gators have a bye this week ahead of the biggest game on the schedule against Georgia. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party will take place at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, on Oct. 28, with a kickoff time of 3:30 p.m. EDT set. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports.
