Gators hosting top-ranked OL from class of 2024 for South Carolina game

One of Florida’s top targets from the class of 2024 will be in Gainesville this weekend to see the Gators take on South Carolina.

Four-star Woodland (Dorchester, South Carolina) offensive tackle [autotag]Kam Pringle[/autotag] is no stranger to the University of Florida. Dan Mullen‘s staff quickly identified him as a priority target in the recruiting class of 2024, and Billy Napier‘s staff is picking up right where that last group left off, according to 247Sports.

“It’s been good vibes from the new staff,” Pringle said. “They came by my school twice this past spring and they have been recruiting me hard. Coach (Rob) Sale was actually just on the phone with me a bit ago giving me a hard time about texting back and getting on the phone with him more often. They make sure to let me know I am a priority for them and a top-of-the-board guy for them in 2024 at tackle. They want to get me down there to be a Gator.”

At 6-foot-7-inches and 330 pounds, Pringle has the right size to succeed in the SEC, and his cousin, Jawaan Taylor, started as a freshman for the Gators in 2016. Growing up, Pringle dreamt about playing for Florida, and now that option is on the table.

The plan is for him to narrow things down to a top 10 some time after his junior year. He says Florida is in the top-five range right now, but meeting the new staff in person could give the team a big bump.

The 247Sports composite ranks Pringle at No. 44 overall in the class of 2024 and is the top-ranked tackle right now.
