Gary Russell Jr.’s Olympic dream died when he missed his weigh-in but he can take pride in his professional accomplishments.

NO. 9 LUIS YANEZ
Olympics results: Lost in second round
Pro record: 7-1-1 (0 KOs)
Titles won: None
Notable victims: None
Summary: Yanez, a dominated amateur fighter in the U.S., had an uneventful, truncated pro career. He started 7-0-1 (drawing with journeyman Joseph Rios, which wasn’t a good sign) but walked away from the sport at that point. He tried to come back in 2018 but lost to another journeyman, Alan Salazar, and hasn’t fought since.
