Garrett Wilson & Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers are starting to sync

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is beginning to function well with wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

The quick passing game seems to be working in the Jets offense with Wilson and running back Breece Hall working as primary targets. The accurate quick-throws made by Rodgers are impeccable and nearly unstoppable at times.

Rodgers likes to get Wilson the football in space where his agility and speed will allow for yards after the catch. Both players spent countless hours working through training camp to build timing and rapport and while things are still a work in progress, Wilson produced four catches on just five targets, finishing with 57 receiving yards in week 2.

As long as offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett commits to a healthy balance of both run and pass plays, Rodgers can target Wilson at fairer volumes.Wilson gives his team an advantage in 1-on-1 situations, and it’s definitely because he has one of the most accurate quarterbacks in NFL history to throw him the ball.
