The Brooklyn Nets recalled rookie forward Nic Claxton ahead of their game on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Claxton has not played in a game for the Nets since February 28. Along with Dzanan Musa, the rookie has been on assignment with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. Musa will continue his assignment with Long Island and be unavailable for Tuesday’s game.
In his last game with Long Island, Claxton only scored eight points in 27 minutes of action, but he was efficient, going 4-for-7 from the floor. Claxton also finished with eight rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
Brooklyn’s other inactive players include the Nets’ two injured superstars, Kyrie Irving (right shoulder surgery) and Kevin Durant (right Achilles rehab).
The Nets will also be without Garrett Temple again on Tuesday. He is dealing with a left ankle sprain. Tuesday’s game will be the fourth in a row the veteran wing is sidelined due to the sprain.
The Nets and Lakers tipoff at 10:30 p.m. EST at Staples Center.
