CBS Sports has recently updated its list of the top 10 quarterbacks in college football as LSU heads into a bye week this week before playing against Ole Miss next weekend.
[autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] has put up some great numbers through five games this season, and he’s now entering the top 10 at No. 6. He has thrown for 1,652 yards, 15 touchdowns, and four interceptions with a 70% completion percentage.
In his first season starting for the Tigers, Nussmeier has led the Tigers to a strong 4-1 start as he looks to help lead the Tigers to their third-straight 10-win season. With those numbers, how does he compare to the rest of the country? Here is what CBS Sports had to say.
“We still have a while to wait, but I’m excited to follow Nussmeier’s draft stock in the spring. He has a ridiculous arm, but he sometimes trusts it a little too much. That is why he ends up with stat lines like last week (409 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs vs. South Alabama). There isn’t a lot of chill to this young man’s game.”
Nussmeier has the ability to take these Tigers as far as they can possibly go.
