VFL Garrett Crochet’s relief appearance for White Sox Tuesday.

CLEVELAND — Garrett Crochet continues to be impressive after making his Major League debut last week.

Crochet, a former player for the University of Tennessee baseball team and 2020 first-round draft pick, made another relief appearance for the Chicago White Sox Tuesday night in their 5-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.

Crochet struck out one while pitching an inning of scoreless relief.

Since being called up Friday, Crochet has made three appearances, all in relief as he has not allowed a run. He has not walked anybody and has recorded three strikeouts while surrendering just one hit.

The Ocean Springs, Mississippi native was chosen by Chicago with the No. 11 overall selection in the 2020 MLB draft.

He made just one appearance for the Vols in 2020 as the season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
