No. 15 Texas A&M (13-6) had a strong start to the game with consistent hitting throughout, however, the bats of No. 1 LSU (18-1) were just too much for the Aggies to overcome.
Unlike the first game of the series, the Aggies came out pretty hot in the bottom of the second inning. The first two batters reached base safely, and Freshman Kaeden Kent would get an RBI single through the right-side scoring Austin Bost. Later in the same inning, Hank Bard hit a single that scored Ryan Targac. In the bottom of the third, the Aggies only logged one hit but two unearned runs when Jack Moss and Bost crossed home plate.
The top of the fourth is where the wheels fell off. Texas A&M entered the inning up 4-0 and after a rough start to the inning, Evan Aschenbeck was pulled for Matt Dillard with two outs and bases loaded. LSU would go on to get four hits scoring six runs to go up by two runs.

The Aggies tried to answer back in the bottom half but only produced one run via RBI seeing Jace Laviolette score, cutting the lead by one to end 5-6. Both teams went scoreless in the fifth before LSU put three runs on the board to the Aggies one for a 6-9 score with the Tigers extending their lead.
LSU mirrored the sixth inning adding another three runs, but A&M would not be able to chop at the lead only getting one hit stranding two on base. There was only one other run scored the rest of the game coming off a sacrifice fly by Laviolette scoring Targac for a final score of 12-7 losing the series to LSU.
Final Score: Aggies 7, Tigers 12 – W: Edwards, Garrett (3-0); L: Dillard, Matt (0-2)
Final: LSU 12, Texas A&M 7
