The Aggies finally get their first SEC win since April 10th. They put together a solid game and the pitching seems to be returning back to where it was a few weeks ago. It was especially good to see Emiley Leavitt come into the game and stack a few good innings together before Emily Kennedy came in for the close. This was exactly the type of response Coach Ford was looking for after losing a tough game one of the series.
Coach Ford gave her thoughts on the bounce-back win
“It was important for us to come out today with good energy and kind of quiet them early. I thought we did a good job of putting runners on base almost every inning, but I think we could have capitalized a little bit more. Overall, I was proud of our effort, our focus and ability to come out and win a ball game.”
Game three is on Sunday, April 23rd in Mississippi
